Venture for neighborhood assembling of EV: Suzuki will contribute Rs 10445 crore,electric vehicles and batteries will be prepared in Gujarat

Japanese organization Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) will contribute Rs 10445 crore to grow neighborhood assembling of electric vehicles (EV) and batteries in India. SMC marked a Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Gujarat within the sight of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India-Japan Economic Forum held in New Delhi,India on 19 March 2022. 3100 crores will be put resources into Suzuki Motor Gujarat in 2025 to build the assembling limit with respect to electric vehicles. 7300 crores will be contributed to set up a plant to fabricate batteries for electric vehicles in 2026.

The arrangement was done within the sight of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Toshihiro Suzuki Representative Director and President Suzuki Motor Corporation and Kenichi Ayukawa,Managing Director and CEO,Maruti Suzuki India Limited joined the service alongside prominent senior government authorities from India and Japan.
